Project

Middle Tennessee Christian School Smyrna Campus Smyrna, Tennessee

Description

This project consisted of constructing a new two story facility for Pre-school - 6th grade for Middle Tennessee Christian School at the Division Street Church of Christ campus in Smyrna, Tennessee. The facility was designed to allow for school activities during the weekdays and church activities on the weekends.

This facility is connected to the existing church campus building via a second floor connector over an existing drive. The facility contains approximately 18,800 sq. ft. on the first floor. This space is divided into 13 classrooms, a warming kitchen, a 4,600 sq. ft. gymnasium, and a 720 sq. ft. office area.

The 14,200 sq. ft. second floor is divided into 12 classroom areas. Classrooms on both floors are situated along the exterior walls with the gymnasium and support areas located along the central axis of the building.

Construction materials for the building include a pre-engineered building frame system and a brick and metal panel exterior. The roof system is a standing seam metal deck. In addition to the building facility, Dunlap-Bumpas designed site amenities such as 18,000 sq. ft. of playground area, 200 parking spaces, and a new water service line.
